Chris McKie

Chris McKie is a noted photographer and teacher, with renown and experience in both fields. He began his photography as a hobby, taking pictures of landscapes and scenery. Pictures of children, on ordinary days and special days, followed naturally as an offshoot of his work as a schoolteacher in Toronto. Parents, fellow teachers and kids all loved his work, and soon photography took on a life of its own, with a studio, complete darkroom facilities and many cameras, lenses, tripods, lights and other pieces of equipment filling his home/studio in Toronto’s Film District.

Today, Chris McKie can be found photographing families, children, babies and of course landscapes and architecture. His love of teaching and his wonderful warmth and ease with persons of all ages mean his subjects are relaxed, happy and having fun. The results are clear. Wonderful, vibrant and beautiful photographs.
